PREGINET joins TEIN3 MPLS Network Design and Deployment Workshop

MPLS Network Design and Deployment Workshop participantsThe Philippine Research, Education and Government Information Network (PREGINET) participated in the Advanced Routing BGP IPv4/IPv6 Workshop organized by the Trans-Eurasia Information Network 3 (TEIN3) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand from 13 to 17 August 2012.

Said workshop was intended for technical staff to boost knowledge on IP Routing in BGP and OSFP/ISIS and on troubleshooting simple IP network. It was facilitated by guest instructors from Cisco Systems, Inc. named Ng Seo Boon, a Network Consulting Engineer and Vincent Ng, a Technical Marketing Engineer. Ng Seo Boon relayed his knowledge on designing, implementation, optimization and maintenance of IP networks, while Vincent Ng discussed mainly about IP/MPLS core routing technologies to the participants.

The basic functionality and features of MPLS, MPLS VPN deployment, traffic engineering, CEs deployment, MPLS security, types and functionality of L2 VPN, and MPLS troubleshooting were likewise presented in the workshop.
