MDH Radiology EventThe Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) tried a telemedicine session offered by the Philippine Research, Education and Government Information Network (PREGINET) last 22 August 2011 at the MDH MBFI Hall.

Said session is a symposium on the Somatom Definition Flash 256-Slice Dual Source Machine, which was attended by doctors and residents from the MDH’s Allied Medical Services Division.

The course objective of the symposium is to present a live online stream video of the procedures of the machine’s core innovation, which is the revolutionary flash spiral, to concerned medical staff.

“Over-all the event was a success. It was a very humbling experience since many people helped,” said Ms. Ma. Aletha Labarcon, MDH Department Manager.
Medical conferencing, popularly known as telemedicine, has a critical role in medical education and delivery of real-time medicine. It is one of the activities assisted by PREGINET.
